Hey, Mama!💛
How are you… like really? Not the "I'm good" you say out of habit — but how is your heart? How is your mind? What's going on in that quiet place where you know God has been nudging you… but you've been wrestling with Him instead?
Because if I'm honest, Mama… I've been right there where you are — and quite recently, in fact. Today, we're talking about the battle within — that tension between what God has called you to do… and what fear, doubt, responsibility, and insecurity try to convince you not to do.
You are not alone in that battle.
Opening Prayer
Father God,
We come before You with open hearts today. You see every internal struggle, every hesitation, every place where we've delayed obedience. God, meet us here. Speak clearly. Break fear. Strengthen our yes. And remind us that You don't call the qualified — You qualify the called.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
My Story: From Delay to Obedience
Mama… let me take you back.
In 2015, God called me to become a Christian life coach. I got certified… but shortly after, I found out I was pregnant with my second child. I made what felt like a responsible decision — to not move forward with starting my life coaching business. I thought to myself:
"I don't have the energy for this right now."
Then in 2020, God said it again. Clear instructions. Specific vision. I started… but didn't finish. Why? Because I felt like I didn't have everything I needed. I didn't feel ready. I didn't feel qualified or equipped.
And now here we are in 2026… God said it again. But this time? I said YES.
Not because I feel fully ready or confident. But because I'm finally willing and obedient.
I finally understand this:
God is not looking for perfection. He's looking for willingness and obedience.
"If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land."
— Isaiah 1:19 (NLT)
Not perfect. Not fearless. Not fully prepared. Just willing… and obedient.
The Battle Within
Mama, the truth is — the biggest battle you will fight is not external. It's internal.
It's the battle between:
- •Faith and fear
- •Calling and comfort
- •Obedience and excuses
It's the voice that says:
"You're not ready."
"You don't know enough."
"What if you fail?"
"What will people think?"
It's fear. It's doubt. It's imposter syndrome. And if we're not careful, we will stay stuck in a cycle of almost obedience.
Your assignment as a mother should never cancel your assignment from God.
Biblical Example: Moses
Think about Moses. When God called Moses to lead His people… what did Moses do? He responded with hesitation. Between Exodus 3–4, he said:
- •"Who am I?"
- •"What if they don't believe me?"
- •"I'm not a good speaker."
He even asked God to send someone else — turning hesitation into avoidance. Sound familiar? That's called imposter syndrome — the feeling that you're not as capable, qualified, or worthy as others think you are — even when you actually are.
Imposter syndrome is believing the lie that you're unqualified for something God has already qualified you to do.
God didn't change Moses' assignment. He reminded him: "I will be with you."
And that's the same thing God is saying to you, Mama.
The Renewed Mind Model
This is where we pause, reflect, and apply biblical truth to the way we think, speak, and live. We take whatever we're facing and run it through the truth of God's Word.
Recognize
Recognize the internal battle. Call it what it is: fear, delay, doubt, or disobedience masked as 'responsibility.' We can't overcome what we don't recognize.
Release
Release the need to feel ready. Release perfection. Release control. Release the timeline you created.
Renew
Renew your mind with truth: God chose you on purpose. You don't need everything ready — just obedience. God will provide what you need along the way (Jehovah Jireh).
Respond
Move. Even if it's small. Even if it's messy. Even if it's uncomfortable. Obedience is not about perfection — it's about movement.
Say That, Sis!
Today's statement:
"I'll do what God called me to do… when I have more time."
Honey… let me tell you something. Time is not the issue. Obedience is. Because if God gave it to you now… He already factored your current season into the equation.
"Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest."
— Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NLT)
If you wait for perfect conditions… you'll never move.
Crowned Keys
These are your practical steps — the actionable takeaways to help you apply what you've learned today.
Start Where You Are
You don't need a perfect plan to begin — you just need a next step. Progress in the Kingdom is step-by-step, not all-at-once.
Stop Over-Spiritualizing Delay
Not everything is 'waiting on God.' Sometimes God is waiting on you. Delayed obedience is still disobedience.
Give God Your Yes — Daily
Obedience is a lifestyle, built in the daily decisions. Say yes today, tomorrow, and every day thereafter.
Let Fear Come — But Don't Let It Lead
Fear is a feeling, not a leader. You can feel afraid and still move forward. Courage is choosing obedience in spite of fear.
Weekly Affirmation
"I am willing and obedient. I trust God even when I don't feel ready. I will move forward in faith, knowing He is with me every step of the way."
Closing Prayer
Father God,
Thank You for meeting us in this moment. Strengthen every Mama under the sound of my voice. Where there has been delay, bring clarity. Where there has been fear, bring boldness. And where there has been disobedience, give us the grace to realign. We choose today to be willing and obedient.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Salvation Invitation
Mama, if you've realized that you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus, this is your moment. Repeat after me:
"Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I repent and turn away from my old ways. Come into my heart. God be my Lord and Jesus be my Savior. In Jesus' name, Amen."Visit the Salvation Page →
